Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. Before co-founding Cairn Educational Consulting, Alex served as the Director of Admissions at The Frederick Gunn School (formerly The Gunnery), a renowned New England boarding school in Washington, Connecticut. During her decade-long tenure, she guided countless families through the admissions process and personally interviewed nearly 1,000 students. Her dedication to student success began early in her career as an attorney with the United States Environmental Protection Agency, where she mentored underserved youth in New York City, helping them gain new experiences and build confidence. Alex holds a Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Political Science from Barnard College, Columbia University. She is a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultant Association (IECA). Alex resides in Litchfield County, CT, with her husband, two sons, and two dogs.
