Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. With a lifelong passion for athletics, Michael draws from his successful high school and college hockey careers to support student-athletes in achieving a balance between academics and sports. Before co-founding Cairn Educational Consulting, Michael spent over a decade working in independent schools. His most recent role was as Director of Outplacement at Aspen Country Day School, where he guided 8th-grade students through the placement process. He also has experience as a teacher, advisor, and hockey coach at Taft School and Northwood School, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on educational consulting.
